Made in the Middle East: Photo Edition

Updated: Apr 26, 2021

#BoredInTheHouse? Whilst maintaining social distancing, grab a camera and immerse in open Middle Eastern red and blue-hued landscapes. This post features 5 insta-worthy photo ideas for those stuck at home across the Middle East.

While we maintain national protocols of social distancing and find ourselves picking up at-home hobbies including baking or TikTok to remain sane; our love for photography need not die yet! Most international governments including that of Bahrain, Canada, and the United Kingdom encourage forms of outdoor exercise in open spaces everyday. May as well grab a camera to accompany our daily walks!

#5: Sea & Skyline

All You Need is a Sea and a Skyline...

Most states across the GCC possess cosmopolitan centres lined with awe-striking skyscrapers. As businesses including malls begin to open practicing updated safety measures, we may still seek quiet photo-worthy corners near us. Find isolated open spaces exhibiting the unique combination of the Middle Eastern sea and skyline to be the backdrop of your next insta post.

#4: Hump Day?

The barren desert landscapes are highly populated with dromedaries, or Arabian camels. The Royal Camel Farm in Bahrain, a rarely-visited space remains open for your next photoshoot. As some dromedaries reside in designated camel farms throughout the Middle East, the inevitably smiling species travel freely in many other Arabian deserts and mountainous regions, such as in Oman. Find and engage with an exotic camel near you.

#3: Rise with the Eastern Sun & Set with the Western Sun

As the existence of winter is replaced by endless summer and Middle Eastern homes reflect the nude shades of the sand-dunes beneath them; the colossal sun is easily captured by the naked eye as well as by a camera. Take advantage of the Arabian sunrise and sunset for a photo-prompt! Find an open rooftop, or merely an open landscape and experience the unparalleled Middle Eastern sun.

#2: Arabian Evergreens

Exotic Arabian perennials of considerable height will inspire your next post's tropical summer vibes.

Although 2020 has struck us with C19 complications, Middle Eastern landscapes offer us naturally open spaces most people travel overseas to experience. As for the most part, Arabia comprises sand and sea; the region also manifests tall tropical perennials perfect for a photo backdrop. Raise your quarantini as a complimentary prop!

#1: Desert Sand Dunes & Boundless Sea

Drive through the Arabian deserts and adjacent seas...

As most public spaces are still encouraged to be avoided, it may deem healthy to go for a drive to open spaces, given your government is practicing social distancing and not isolation or under lockdown.
